Teaching you how to calculate weight loss
Believe it or not, there is no exercise for weight loss…
We know right, mind blowing statement! This is what the rest of the world is trying to sell you and before you know it, back to square one waiting for January to come around again for a chance at motivation lasting longer than the second week in January…
We’re here to help, the sustainable way!
As a valued member of The Human Performance Centre family, you're already familiar with our commitment to helping clients achieve their personal best. Today, we want to share a powerful tool with you that can kickstart your journey to sustainable weight loss: understanding your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR).
WHAT IS THAT ?
Your BMR is the number of calories your body needs to function at rest. By calculating your BMR, we can tailor a nutrition and exercise plan specifically for you, ensuring that you reach your goals effectively and safely.
But before diving into numbers, let me emphasize that our approach isn't just about crunching data. It's about empowering you to make informed choices for a healthier, happier lifestyle. While BMR calculation is a cornerstone of our methodology, it's just one piece of the puzzle as we think another piece of the puzzle in understanding what your end goal should look like…
We've witnessed incredible transformations using this method, and our clients have graciously shared their success stories.
A few testimonials:

More on our website over at www.elitegentlemen.co.za but as we digress…
From shedding stubborn Kg’s to feeling more energetic and confident, the results speak for themselves.
However, it's crucial to remember that there's no one-size-fits-all solution. Everybody is unique, and we're here to guide you through a holistic approach that encompasses not only nutrition but also sleep quality, hydration levels, and personalized training regimens.
So what’s my first step?
The first initial step to implement a simple, sensible (Affordable and time efficient way) and sustainable way to great food sources in throughout a period of time where you can build solid data on what works and what doesn’t.
Use this formula below to calculate your needed (BMR) caloric daily intake need and build food sources (proteins, fats and carbs) into the plan that you want to start off with :
This BMR formula is as follows: BMR (kcal/day) = 10 × weight (kg) + 6.25 × height (cm) – 5 × age (y) + s (kcal/day) , where s is +5 for males and -161 for females.
FREE GIFT TO OUR SUSCRIBERS : If you need help with this, email us and one of our experienced trainers will work this out for you at no cost and get this back to asap so you can get closer to those health goals immediately.
What then Guys, help me with this:
We then need to structure Your Macro food groups into their place and this takes time because once again, everyone is different based off of things like, how much do you move during the way, are you always in a seated position, are working with your hands etc.
Example : Daily intake
PROTEIN : 35% to 50%
FAT : 20% - 35%
CARB : 20% - 35%
Your overall calories calculated at the top will be used to split you meals throughout the day in the following manner :
Macro Calories breakdown
PROTEIN : 4 calories per gram
CARB : 4 calories per gram
FAT : 9 calories per gram
Taking all of this into account, our goal isn't rapid, short-lived changes. Instead, we're focused on sustainable progress that lasts a lifetime. We also stray from causing mental problems long-term in not letting our clients cause unhealthy obsessions with their nutrition. Yes, it’s ok to eat off plan. Yes. It’s ok to still have things you enjoy but most people aren’t aware of the basics that make progress possible even when having ‘cheat meals’.
Learning this one skill could end up being a life skill for the rest of your life. This is why investing in yourself, even if you have to seek professional guidance, is of vital importance.
Together, we'll navigate this journey, celebrating every milestone along the way.
